Akadimos supports equal treatment and equal opportunities for people of all genders: in our team, in our training and in our European projects..
Why we have this plan
Equal treatment is part of Greek and EU law, including Greek Law 4604/2019 on substantive gender equality. This plan follows the European Commission’s guidance on gender equality plans in Horizon Europe.
This page sets out our approach.
How we work on it
| Building block | What we do |
|---|---|
| A public plan | This page |
| People | A contact person in our team for gender equality questions |
| Monitoring | We follow gender balance in our team, among our trainers and in our courses, and use it to guide our actions |
| Awareness | We raise awareness among our staff and trainers, including on unconscious bias and on preventing harassment |
What we aim for
| Area | What we aim for |
|---|---|
| Work–life balance and culture | Flexible hours and remote work where the job allows, and support around parental leave |
| Leadership and decisions | Balanced project teams, panels and speakers at our events |
| Recruitment and career | Gender-neutral job adverts and fair, transparent pay |
| Training content and projects | A gender perspective in course design and project proposals, with inclusive language and images |
| Gender-based violence and sexual harassment | Zero tolerance and a clear, confidential way to report |
Reports of harassment follow our child and adult protection policy.
