European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
At Akadimos, we fully integrate the European Qualifications Framework to ensure our qualifications are understood and recognized across Europe. Our programs are mapped to EQF levels, providing clear indicators of the knowledge, skills, and competencies that learners achieve. This framework enables transparent comparison of qualifications across different educational systems and countries, facilitating both academic and professional mobility.
We place particular emphasis on the recognition of prior learning, acknowledging that valuable skills and knowledge can be acquired through various formal, non-formal, and informal learning experiences. Through detailed learning outcomes aligned with EQF descriptors, we ensure that our students’ qualifications are easily understood by employers and educational institutions throughout the EU, enhancing their professional and academic opportunities.
Europass
Our institution has fully embraced the Europass digital credentials ecosystem, implementing comprehensive digital documentation of qualifications and learning experiences. Students receive digitally-signed credentials that are instantly verifiable and shareable across the EU. This system integrates seamlessly with our learning management system, automatically updating students’ digital portfolios as they progress through their studies.
We support our students in developing professional portfolios that align with European standards, including the creation and maintenance of their Europass CV. This standardized format ensures that our graduates can effectively communicate their skills and qualifications to employers across Europe. The digital credentials system also enables students to showcase their achievements, including both formal qualifications and additional competencies gained through extracurricular activities and specialized training programs.
ECVET
The European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) forms a cornerstone of our qualification structure. We implement ECVET principles to ensure that learning outcomes are clearly defined, assessable, and transferable. This system facilitates the accumulation and transfer of credits across different learning contexts and countries, making it easier for students to build their qualifications progressively.
Our ECVET implementation supports student mobility by ensuring that learning achievements are properly documented and recognized, regardless of where the learning takes place. The transparency of qualifications through ECVET helps students understand exactly what they need to achieve and how their qualifications will be recognized in different contexts. This system is particularly valuable for our international programs and exchange initiatives, as it provides a clear framework for recognizing and validating learning outcomes across borders.
Through these EU tools, we create a seamless educational experience that prepares our students for success in the European labor market while facilitating lifelong learning and professional development opportunities. The integration of these systems ensures that our qualifications meet the highest European standards and are readily recognized across the EU and beyond.
